Recipes of Milk
  1. Turmeric Milk

Take 1/4th tablespoon of turmeric and add to a glass of milk and boil.

  1. Saffron Milk

Take 4 petals of saffron and add to milk.

  1. Cardamom Milk
  2. Nutmeg’s Milk
  3. Almond Milk

Add 4 almonds to one glass of milk

  1. Dry Ginger Milk

Add 1/4th of the dry ginger powder to one glass of milk.

  1. Turmeric Milk

Add 1/4th tablespoon of turmeric to milk.


Milk has many bi-products like yoghurt, buttermilk, clarified butter, cheese, cottage cheese and white cream.



It is heavy like cheese and weight gainer.

It aggravates mucus in the system.

It should be generally taken on an empty stomach.


Curd Recipes

Cucumber and curd form raita

Curd is usually taken with sugar

To make curd easily digestible u can add black pepper and dry ginger.

Pineapple and curd forms pineapple raita.


Indian Butter Milk

There are 2 ways of making butter milk :

  1. Add equal amounts of water to yogurt and churn it

This is heavier to digest because of less water content.

  1. Add 4 times of water to yogurt and churn it

This is lighter to digest because of more water content.


Butter Milk reduces kapha, increases pitha and is helpful in weak digestion. Also it is helpful in reducing weight.


Butter Milk Recipe :

  1. Add Coriander powder to butter milk
  2. Add cumin seed powder to butter milk
  3. Add Dry ginger power to butter milk
  4. South Indian butter milk is made of wet coriander, chilli, curry leaves and wet ginger
  5. Add Rock Salt to butter milk
  6. Add Asafoetida, mint leaves etc

All the above spices can be used together to add more benefits and is called as masala butter milk and this can be used for treating different disease especially piles, obesity.


Clarified Butter (White Butter )

Butter is usually made from churning of butter milk.

It is mainly consumed by people by spreading on bread.

It is good for people with strong digestion and pitta (internal heat). It is helpful for burns and skin rashes and is also a good moisturiser.

It can be used to balance spicy food.

It can be used as a substitute for oil while preparing food.

Ghee is made by melting of raw butter.

It increases strength, Vitality and intelligence.

It is easy to digest.

It helps in boosting one’s immunity power.

It can be taken with food and milk as well.

It is basically used to balance food and give more nourishment to body.

It can be consumed by adding 1-2 tablespoon in any kind of food.



Cream is basically extracted after boiling milk.

It is mainly used as a spread on bread and can be also taken with sugar.

It can also used as a moisturiser with turmeric powder for skin.


Below are some examples where one can use dairy products according to their body type

*Adding spices to each dairy product would be more helpful like for eg. Coriander, mint, cumin seed powder *


Cheese is heavy and sticky and hard to digest.

The heaviness of cheese can be partially anti-doted with spices like mustard, black pepper, cumin powder and dry ginger powder.

It is also used to spread on the bread and also added to any kind of food.


Cottage cheese (Tofu)

It is lighter and easier to digest compared to cheese.

It can be used as an additive to bread and can be used as a milk product in many dishes or curry.

Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients : Onions, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, cashenut, bay leaf, chillies, full fat milk, kasoori methi, dry fenu greek leaves, garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chill powder, fresh cream, Butter, salt, paneer, turmeric


Palak Paneer

Ingredients: fresh spinach (palak ), chillies, garlic, ginger, onion, cumin seeds, turmeric, red chilli powder, asafoetida, garam masala powder, paneer, cream, ghee, kasuri methi (dry fenugreek leaves )


Paneer Tikka Masala

Ingredients : paneer, bell pepper, onion, hung curd, ginger garlic paste, lime juice, red chilli, garam masala, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, nutmeg powder, saffron, corn starch, oil, salt
